Twisted Time Paradox - Nephthys

Source: http://starstorm-ge.blogspot.com

First introduced in v9.12.1, this mission is part of the Time Paradox series. This mission provides the Time Crystals required to craft Evil Bracelets (any type). Veatrice Recruitment Quests also requires Nephthys Piece (quest item) from here. If there is more than 1 squad,
make sure the questing families are in the same squad to deal the death blow to Nephthys.

This guide is based mostly on 일그러진 시간의 편린, 네프티스 공략, supplemented by other articles/videos linked at the bottom of the post.
Mission Information
Location: Viron (E7)
Participants: 1-24 families (MCC3)
Frequency: 1/day
Duration: 60 minutes

You must have completed Demonic Jurgen scenario, or else you cannot get the roulette reward. The article recommends at least 2 tanks.
  • Fighter/Coimbra Trooper - [Provoke], [Defiance Aura]
  • Emilia - [Protection Field], [Invulnerable], [Anti-Magic Shell], [Spiritual Shield], [Whole Cancellation]
  • Lionel - [Leadership]
  • Grace - [Hound]
  • Veronif - [Chemical Protection]
  • Valeria - [Restore], [Satisfy], [Redemption]
  • Rio - [Shining Ballad], [Con Fuoco], [Virtuoso], [Con Impeto]
  • Lisa - [Grinding], preferably with Devil or Evil Dagger
  • Brunie - Inflict [Mortal Wound] status in v10.18.0
  • Ania - Inflict [Mortal Wound] status in v10.18.0
  • Battle Smith Idge - Inflict [Broken Armor] status
Because of the monsters' high RES and low DEF, shooters are preferred over magic-users for damage dealing.

1. Kill Wolfriners
Kill all the Wolfriners in the corridor. If they are not killed, Ararat Defenders will summon them into the rooms later when reduced to 25% HP.
Wolfriner • Lv.127 • Daemon • Hard Armor • None • Medium • HP 5,597,820
ATK Rating 70 • ATK 46,305 • Penetration 100 • Elemental Penetration - All 0
DEF Rating 63 • DEF 147 • Immunity 20 • RES - All 75

2. Kill Mages + Ararat Defenders
Next, go to one of the northern rooms - either D4 or I4. Ararat Defender waits in the middle alcove, flanked by 2 Mages of Pain/Greed in the side alcoves.

Mage of Pain/Greed • Lv.130 • Daemon • Soft Armor • None • Medium • HP 19,320,000
ATK Rating 64 • ATK 21,870 • Penetration 100 • Elemental Penetration - All 0
DEF Rating 67 • DEF 250 • Immunity 30 • RES - Mental 95, Others 90

Ararat Defender • Lv.132 • Golem • Hard Armor • None • Large • HP 19,766,400
ATK Rating 71 • ATK 166,212 • Penetration 100 • Elemental Penetration - All 0
DEF Rating 67 • DEF 319 • Immunity 50 • RES - Mental 99, Others 90
[Explosion of Madness] ATK Rating 91 • ATK 332,424

Kill the 2 Mages first. Once combat started, the Mages will load a gauge bar, which will buff Ararat Defender when full. The 5 different buffs include:
  • [Explosion of Madness] increases ATK and ATK Rating
  • [Pain of Madness] increases Movement and ATK Speed
  • [Weakened Shooting/Magic/Melee] reduces damage dealt for the specified attack type
For both Mages and Ararat Defender, the tank should move behind the monster inside the alcove, so that it turns to face the wall, while damage dealers attack from behind.

Once the Mages are dead, kill Ararat Defender. Keep tanks and melee debuffers (e.g. Lisa) under [Protection Field] at all times. Its normal attack affects a wide area, so unprotected characters should not come close, not even from behind. Ararat Defender can also inflict [Stun] status, so tank should use HP Regen Potions and/or receive [Restore] from Valeria.

Once Ararat Defender is dead, repeat the same process for the other room (D4 or I4). Once both Ararat Defenders are dead, a zone notice will announce that Nephthys has appeared.

3. Kill Nephthys
Nephthys will appear in F8/G8, surrounded by 8 Hell Generals on all sides.
Nephthys • Lv.136 • Daemon • Soft Armor • Ice • Medium • HP 62,020,800
ATK Rating 73 • ATK 289,785 • Penetration 100 • Elemental Penetration - All 0
DEF Rating 68 • DEF 187 • Immunity 20 • RES - Fire 80, Ice 90, Lightning 55, Mental 90
Use [Invulnerable] skill on Lionel, who then attacks Nephthys. (You can use [Overrange Shot] to secure hostility.) Then lure her and run around the four pillars.

Hell Generals are inactive at the start, but Nephthys will activate 2, 3, and 3 of them at different times with zone announcements. When Hell Generals activate, the tanks should provoke and drag them inside the pillars. They can inflict [Stun] status, so tanks should use HP Regen Potions and/or receive [Restore] from Valeria.

They can change target easily (similar to Mutated Angler in Lucifer Basement Laboratory), so spam [Protection Field] to keep them occupied. Damage dealers should avoid using area effect skills, so as not to hit and provoke the Hell Generals.
Hell General • Lv.130 • Daemon • Hard Armor • None • Medium • HP 25,116,000
ATK Rating 74 • ATK 109,350 • Penetration 55 • Elemental Penetration - All 30
DEF Rating 65 • DEF 225 • Immunity 50 • RES - Lightning 55, Others 75
Hell Generals are leashed to Nephthys, so if either of them gets too far away, they will teleport back.

Reward
The roulette rewards Nephthys Time Crystals or Portable Ancient Star Orb Box. Bonus roulette costs 1,500,000 vis. The boss can also drop the following:
  • Holy Water/Otite/Rhodolite/Corazon of Nephthys
  • Recipe - Artisan's Boots

  • Piece of Naraka
  • White Gold Bar
